If you are on the cape and don't take time to drive down to Provincetown at least for one evening you are missing out. It is a combination of pedestrian shopping zone, art gallery, fine dining and exceptional people watching. The diversity that intermingles here...More

Very busy. feels like you are in France. Narrow streets, bikes and cars going down the street with hundreds of people walking. Great shops, funny t-shirt place-bumper sticker place. Lots of galleries, candy store, fudge store. Lots of interesting people walking about

The people are so friendly and it was nice to walk in and out of the unique shops. Picked up some cool sunglasses and clothes to bring home to family. Great food and lots of artistic talent at every turn.

We loved our time here. Everyone is so friendly yet at the same time a little edgy and quirky. It's a great place to spend half a day strolling around. Try parking at the museum as it's not easy to get a space.

This place is nuts, so much fun. Lots of shopping, cool stores and galleries also. If you just want to hang out get yourself an ice cream and do some people watching. It's true theater.

Great place to stroll, shop and people-watch. Great assortment of bars, restaurants and shops. Some mainstream and some way out there. Always enjoyable on a nice afternoon or evening. If you can't have fun here, you're not even trying

While there are a few great shops, most merchandise is geared to tourists with a hefty mix of pedestrian and vehicle traffic that is both dangerous and frustrating

Downtown P-Town is a great experience for anyone. All types of people with smiles. Gay males, gay females, tranvestites, families, hetero couples. All enjoying the sights and sounds of this special downtown. Even the T-shirt shops have unusual shirt offerings. Great food up and down...More

We are heading to Provincetown for our anniversary which is coming up June 5th. Can anyone suggest a nice restaurant on the water for an anniversary dinner? It doesn't have to be super fancy. It looks like the area is pretty casual. Mainly looking for great food and views.

I believe most will be open. A lot of people live there all year round.
I am thinking of going to p-town between Christmas and new years, wondering if the shops and restaurants are open then?
