Always friendly staff. They know the area very well and steer you in the right direction. They were very helpful in the first few years when we first started visiting Plymouth. Stop by so you don't miss all the great things to do in the area.

We stopped to the visitors center on a recent vacation. Being our first visit to the area we thought it would be a great place to start.
We met an older gentleman named Rick. He was extremely knowledgeable and very personable! Quick with a joke and smile.
We took his advice and had a great day!
We strongly recommend a visit, great little gift shop too.

I highly recommend going out for a day trip to Plymouth for a tour of the Mayflower II and the local graveyard. Don't miss Plymouth Plantation either...it's about 3 miles away. The Mayflower II is a replica of the original Mayflower and there are costumed re-enactors on board as well as uniformed guides to answer any questions. It really did augment the history we've been learning. We followed that up with a visit to the Plymouth Plantation...a "living history" museum with a Wampanoag Homesite where guides in traditional Wampanoag clothing give visitors a sense of Native American life during the 1600's. Several of the guides in this portion of the plantation were excellent and very informative. Then there is the 1627 English Village..."inhabited" by re-enactors who do a fabulous job. Our family has been to many "living history" museums and this was the best we've experienced! The "actors/interpreters" are wonderful (we actually sat and talked with one woman for nearly an hour...she was fascinating, imparted tons of history and never broke character...not even once!). The food at the Visitor Center is quite good and the gift shops are fun with unique things.

I tried to put money via charge card into the parking meter… and it seems the hard-to-view with little info did not take my request for 2hr like I thought… when we got back to the car, we had a nice little $30 ticket for non-payment.

We stopped here first to get some information for the best things to visit for the day. The two ladies working here were so nice and had a wealth of information. We learned so much just at the Visitor center! Definitely visit and get some information to start your day!

More than an information center this is a wonderful small museum that thoroughly explains the background of the way the first pilgrims came to the new world. The item that most caught my attention was the diagram showing who survived the first year; very clearly explained!

this one will definitely help you with your visit to Plymouth. Now, Plymouth is one of our family's favorite vacation destinations, and the first time we visited, we sorta wing'd it....and we had a great time. Of course, I planned things months before using TripAdvisor and Google. However, on our second trip, we needed a bathroom...and found one in this little, unassuming building.
The folks working there know their stuff. Where to eat, what to see, they give you coupons that will save you money on the various attractions....yes, this is a visitor's center, but it felt more like a free travel agent service!

There are a number of cruises that will take you out to the islands, or more specifically out fishing. I'm sure that anyone, regardless of age would enjoy doing this. The visitors center can help in directing you to the desired cruise.

We would like to stay in the historic center of Plymouth, if there is such a thing. We would want to walk in the evening among shops, small local restaurants, perhaps along a waterfront. Please suggest moderate-priced hotels in that such a location. Thank you.

We stayed outside of Plymouth proper so I don't know much about the in-town accommodatations, but along Water Street you can see much of what the Pilgrims saw. If you want to really understand the evolution of the settlement, take the walking tour from the Jenny Museum. As far as staying in the historic center of town, I think that's virtually impossible now, as little remains, but it's still a stirring memory of early days of our history, and worth a visit.

We stayed at the Best Western. It was within walking distance to the waterfront and the historic district and very close to the beach. We ate at a restaurant named Martini's and it was excellent; highly recommend. It is on the main street with the shops.

We will be traveling there in early October and will have our small do with us. Can we take him through the area or should we put him in a doggie daycare? Is there one nearby?

There were a lot of people with dogs walking around the waterfront. I imagine that in October the things you would want to do our the indoor area - restaurants, museums, stores. i didn't see any dogs in any of those places. We walked the entire historic area an drove around the other area and didn't see a doggie day care. I would Google to see if there is one in the area.
