There are nice sunsets here but it is also good to come earlier and watch the fishing boats unload their catch. things have not changed much from life 100 years ago in this respect.

The extreme tides make this part of the Cape a lot of fun at low tide when you can walk seemingly forever. It is really fun with small children. Not much for lying on the sand but good for walking at low tide and seeing...More

This is what going to the Cape is all about. The scenery is breathtaking and makes you want to crawl in there, get all muddy and look for stuff. Definitely brings out the little boy in you.

We always love coming here after a day on the National Seashore, after dinner and dessert. Very scenic, beautiful place to watch sunset on the Cape!

Perfect stop for sunset! We arrived 5 minutes past sunset and still had a beautiful view! Parking is free in the evening. Bring bug spray to ward off the gnats.

One of my most favorite walks on the Cape is going out on the flats at low tide. I start before dead low tide and follow the trees that mark the channel, and walk for at least 1/2 mile.....the water is warm, the sand is...More

During low tide we were able to walk about a 1/2 mile out and see the oyster cage. My son enjoyed picking up the hermit crabs and shrimp as there were an abundance of them.

You absolutely need to come here! It is a lovely place to watch the fishing “fleet come and go” and make sure you check tide charts if you are looking to see fishing boats or their catch because if it is low tide, the piers...More

Gorgeous anytime but we love low tide so we can walk out on the flats and wade through the tidal pools. Sunsets are magical here and at high tides the quintessential fishing boats go in and out of the harbor. Grab a coffee or specialty...More

I think it depends who is there. Went last night and it was just a guy and a keyboard. Steel pan would’ve been nice tho

Plenty of folks had their well behaved four legged friends in tow. No signage stating it was not permitted so I’d say go for it.
