About
Small waves, low dunes and lots of seashells make this narrow, two-mile stretch of public beach popular with families. The beach runs between Oak Bluffs and Edgartown, and is called "Bend-in-the-Road Beach" on the Edgartown side.

Very long clean beach. The water is very calm making it great for families. Entry is very gradual. Enjoyed my time there.

Easy to access, as the parking is right adjacent to the beach, this beach is a great place for families and people who do not like the rough surf of South Beach. We love it early in the morning for walking and beach combing for...More

We drove here during our one day stay on the island. The beach is sandy and clean. The water is also calm however beach shoes are recommended because of the rocks. There is a bridge that people jump off although it warns people not to...More

We visit this beach every time we go to the vineyard. Water is calm and super clear. However, it can get crowded quick so I’d recommend getting there early to snag a good spot.

This is the best beach for relaxing with family and children without worrying about having to watch for strong waves every 30 seconds. The walk to beach is short aided by flat paths. One entry way had a ramp that was used by elders with...More
