Small waves, low dunes and lots of seashells make this narrow, two-mile stretch of public beach popular with families. The beach runs between Oak Bluffs and Edgartown, and is called "Bend-in-the-Road Beach" on the Edgartown side.

The stretch of beach between Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. The bridghe from JAWS is located on this beach. Many folks jump from the bridge into th inlet. Wear aqua shoes. The water was a bit cool. It felt good

Honestly, we visited this beach with our two small kids because I am an enormous Jaws fan and I wanted to see where some of the scenes were filmed. I wasn't disappointed. The beach was lovely. We spent time by the Jaws Bridge; my five...More

This beach has some rocks at the water's edge, but it was a great place to swim and relax. We had little trouble finding a parking place. Because it is protected by the sound, the waves are not nearly as large as in some other...More

Great time with the family. Everyone enjoyed the bridge as well as the beach. While the bridge has been replaced since Jaws was filmed, it was pretty easy to put yourself into the movie. The beach was very nice as well. The kids had a...More

This beach is about 1.5-2.0 miles long with easy access and parking (IF YOU GET THERE EARLY on a nice day in August!) Rarely rough seas, shallow long sandy bottom. Go to Big Bridge (shown in Jaws) and jump off into the channel. Watch out...More

A wonderful beach for young children - a level sandy beach leading to gentle waters. Ample parking, easily accessed by VTA and bicycle from Edgartown and Oak Bluffs. A tranquil alternative to the surf of South Beach.

Came here mainly to see the Jaws bridge. Didn't see much beach but maybe we were there at the wrong time of day!

From Vineyard Haven, the nearest beach is Owen Park, just north of the ferry slips, on the west side of the harbor. There is a lifeguard during the summer. No waves. Toward Oak Bluffs, the nearest is Eastville Beach... More
