This is a great local museum that appeals to younger children. It is housed inside an old fire house which adds to its charm. the focus here is on imaginative play with a large pretend boat that allows children to dress up and pretend to hall crabs on board in a plastic bucket. There is a great train table and... More

Took our 6 and 4 year old last weekend. The building looks small on the outside, but there are three floors to explore and an outside area. There is just enough stimulation for kids, but they really need to use their imagination to truly enjoy themselves - just what we were looking for! My youngest loved the self-face-painting station and... More

As an uncle, I'm always on the lookout for ways to entertain my nephews. We took them here for a few hours, and the three-year-old loved it. Lots to explore, and plenty of reason to come back for at least the next few years.

All exhibits were hands-on and appropriate for my small children, ages 3 and 1. There was even a wonderful outdoor area for them to play in since it was a beautiful day. Three floors of exhibits, not too crowded, a fun morning!

Fun, interesting place for young children. Can get crowded if it is a Saturday, holiday or school vacation. Try to go on an off day.

I took my 5 year old grandson to the museum when they had lizards that he could pat and observe. We went through all the rooms and the fire truck was his favorite. We ended outside where he was given a juice drink and healthy snacks. We both loved it.

This was our first time being here and we enjoyed our visit. My 4 year old son was occupied for 4 hours straight. Very cute and at home museum!

We took our 3 and 5 year old grandchildren here and they just did not want to leave. All the exhibits are hands-on and fun as well as learning experiences. No high tech here -- and the children love the simple exhibits both inside the building and in the adjoining park. It was busy and all the kids seemed to... More

Great place to take kids under age 10! Many of the exhibits are home made but are well constructed and thought out. Highlights include the Brio train set up, the maze wall, and feeding the monkey (a box).
