Safe, clean, good calm beach for young kids. Not too crowded. Plenty of parking. And not too far from some good ice cream in Hyde Park before the trip home!

We live fairly close to Houghton's Pond and took our daughter here one night after work this past August. It was not very crowded and it was nice to cool off with a beautiful backdrop of trees and the Blue Hills. I'd recommend going here...More

Dropped in here whilst walking the trails in Blue Hills Reservation. Plenty of washrooms, picnic places. Lovely to see lots of families enjoying the day together with BBQs and picnic. You can swim in a cordoned off area of the lake, with a life guard...More

Houghton's pond is situated in the hill side. People of all ages enjoy the pond It is calm and water is clear. Pond recreation area offers variety of recreational activities like swimming, fishing etc. Near by parking facilities are available.
