Quiet campground, close to tanglewood and various historical places in Lee, Lenox and Pittsfield. Campground has no electric or sewer but bathhouse is very clean with good showers.

This was our first time staying in a yurt and we loved it. Spoiler alert: if you like to be surprised and discover everything yourself, stop reading. If you like to be forewarned and well-prepared, continue. We stayed in one of the larger yurts- #2-...More

Wonderful spot to run through. Don't try and go on foot in the winter. Roads are closed and unplowed.

The campground is a good place to stay for only a night or two. The sites do not offer much privacy, but there are hot showers and outdoor sinks for washing dishes. The best part is the proximity of Tanglewood for shows.

We wanted to hike a fairly challenging, moderate, trail and picked October Mountain State Forest as a good place to go. Aside from that, we wanted to see the yurts that one can rent on their campsite. I spoke to the ranger and told him...More

We had to go here on the 1st October just by the name! Easy trails and good views. Cold do with more places to park the car but overall nice walking area.
