Currently, the Cape Cod Central Railroad runs from May through October. It offers Shoreline Excursion Trains, Yankee Clipper Brunch Trains, Cape Cod Dinner Trains and various special events. Departing regularly from Hyannis, with select additional departures from Buzzards Bay, the Cape Cod Central Railroad is a popular tourist attraction. Guests depart the mid-Cape in Hyannis, travel through West Barnstable and Sandwich and down to the Cape Cod Canal. On the way, they travel through sand dunes and salt marshes, see glimpses of the bay and have the opportunity to enjoy parts of Cape Cod that are only accessible by rail. Our award winning Elegant Dinner Train was featured among the top three dinner trains nationwide by TV Food Network's Dining on the Train. Join us for a gourmet meal as we journey through scenic Cape Cod and find out why.

If you want a nap this is the way to go. We were really disappointed in this rail trip.It is pretty boring. First of all it does not do a loop on the coast like I expected it to. The train goes toward Sandwich on...More

We were quite excited for this family excursion, but to be honest I was disappointed. Sat in the best and most expensive seats, views were great but really there was nothing to see. Commentary was entertaining, but considering the train stops halfway and simply returns...More

This was a relaxing, enjoyable break during a busy week away. Sit back and enjoy the scenic, narrated views.

reasonably priced, no flair, no electronics, just early 1900 engines and cars rolling down the steel rails. definitely make the time to take this trip down memory lane. Great trip for younger kids also although they eventually find themselves face down in their games.

We have been going to the Cape for 40+ years and have often talked about taking the dinner train from Hyannis to Buzzards Bay. We finally did it and weren't disappointed. There's something nostalgic about riding a train. Beautiful to see the sites from a...More

So the key to enjoying this experience is knowing that the Cape Cod Railway offers very little in the way of scenic attractions. There are a couple of bogs, some dunes, and the Canal bridges -- but you're starting in the railyard of a rather...More

We took the polar express this past December, 2016 and the children, ages 2,4, and 6 absolutely loved it! If you get there early they have an area to wait (large tents) and port-a-pottys for those last minute musts. There were also souvenirs for purchase....More

4 of us (2 Adult, 2 kids 15 and 10) spent $138 on this experience. It wasn't worth the money and whilst it wasn't a total write off, it wasn't worth the money and was pretty disappointing We opted for First Class which is essentially...More

I often commute on Metro North into NYC. It takes an hour and a half and along the Hudson River and then we arrive in NYC. This train felt exactly like I was on Metro North (same seats) but with less interesting sights. We had...More
