if your looking to hop the island steamship is the way to go. Steamship has both a fast ferry and slow ferry, both have plenty of seating

I will have a rental car & will be staying on Nantucket & Marthas Vineyard for two separate nights. Can cars drive onto the ferry????

Our hi-speed ferry did not take cars. You will find it very pricey to take a car on either island. I suggest one of the tour buses or a taxi to get around the island.

So dogs are 100% allowed to come aboard? And since I've never been to either and can only choose one, do I visit MV or Nantucket? Thanks!

Is there an off season for ferries to Nantucket and Marthas Vineyard? We were in Boston a few yeara ago during october and were told during the off season theres only 1 ferry per day?

Hello! The Steamship Authority offers 3 round trips a day from Hyannis to Nantucket and about 14 round-trips per day from Woods Hole to Nantucket. Check our website for further details.
