Beach was nothing but rocks - no sand at all. Facilities were ok - clean at least. Not sure I would go back but had a good time with family.

We've camped on Bumpkin several times and visited by kayak many times more. Each of the harbor islands are spectacular places to visit. Near the heart of the city but it feels so far away!

Overseen by the State of Massachusetts, u can reserve campgrounds on several,of the Boston Harbor Islands. There are decent sanitary facilities provided and some nice trails, from which you might see deer, turkeys, pheasants and even coyotes, so keep your foodstuffs safely tucked away. You...More

The boat will take you to this picturesque island where you can spend to day exploring, picnic or even camp out! It's a great family place.

An interesting place to visit, fish from and walk out on the sand spit at low tide. There are even prehistoric horseshoe crabs on the spit sometimes--don't touch them!!!!

This island is part of the Boston Harbor Islands - there are ferries from Boston at the Rose Wharf. As with all the islands in the harbor swimming is okay but the waters can be cold.
