We found the staff at Buttonwoods to be extremely knowledgeable and engaging. We spent about an hour having a tour of the small museum which houses many artifacts from the local area. It also has a good section on Hannah Duston, 1697 time period.

This colonial town has quite the past. This museum has interesting exhibits, including shoemaking which was something farmers did in the winter in 10 footer shacks. Popular with school groups, they have a good hands on programs in summer.
