A beautifully designed, short walk along a very peaceful and pretty part of the Housatonic. Wish it were a good bit longer as it ended too quickly. Well maintained and nice brochure to go along with it. We'll try the other section of it the next time we are in the area.

First of all the address "195 Main St" is totally inaccurate. This is on the main drag of town, while the walk is actually about 4 streets down the hill from Main St. Once we did find it, we were not impressed. It is on the river, but it is behind all the businesses and is relatively run down and... More

Very pleasant yes, but underwhelming in that it's so short and runs past old buildings and private property built onto the riverside.

The river walk is a much shorter walk than I had expected. It was pleasant and if you find yourself in Barrington looking for some exercise near the downtown, this is the path to take. You can reverse the walk and stroll down the main street downtown after and shop. I would not necessarily travel from neighboring towns to experience... More

Great walking path along the Housatonic. Strollable is the word. When I was there the river was flowing pretty well and made for some nice scenic stops.

This was quite a feat to clean up the Riverside and have a beautiful walk in Downtown Great Barrington.Very few towns have anything like this and it is one of the reasons that Great Bariington has been rated one of the Best small towns in America.

Short, but enjoyable. Hit it while you enjoy the quaint little shops downtown. Easier to find on foot. It's just a little gait, easily missed.

A nicely done walk along the river, nothing spectacular, but a pleasant diversion from Main St. You can start at one end, and make a loop out onto Main St to do some shopping on the way back

We were in the area and looked up on Google for places to check out since we had a little time to kill. Housatonic River Walk looked like just the thing to explore on a Tuesday afternoon. We found a parking spot, but we arrived it was closed for the season. There was no ice or snow on the stairs... More
