went on a day with some street vendors. nothing special. people are nice and its a pretty city. but gloucester is a nice place to visit.

We had a nice afternoon walking down the street and shopping. Ate at Sweet Magnolias - delicious lunch. Stopped by Virgilio's Italian Bakery for some desert afterwards - again it was also delicious. Shops had some interesting wares to browse through. Nice place, nice afternoon....More

Gloucester's Main Street is no match for Rockport's, in my opinion, but that wouldn't deter me from stopping here again! It is a block from the harbor, easy to walk around, and there are several shops that are wonderful -- I personally recommend Local Colors...More

Main Street has three or four blocks of charming shops and restaurants. There are two good bookstores, a craft gallery (Local Colors), some art galleries, and lots of coffee houses and restaurants. The buildings look old and have a consistent look, so it's quite atmospheric....More

We enjoyed walking Main street. There are plenty of local shops and cafes. Nice easy stroll with good local shopping.

Lovely shops, wine tastings, great breakfast place, all in a very quaint downtown. Go for breakfast at Sugar Magnolias then stroll up and down. The shops are worth it.

Have not been in Rockport on July 4, but I can say it's important to read the signs. I parked near the harbor and got a $50 ticket. I should have walked around and read the signs that said "resident sticker" only. Good... More
