Lots of local artists work featuring boats and the shore. Relaxing pace. No crowds. Worthwhile activity in Gloucester.

This is a great venue to see many well known Cape Ann artists. Admission is free although a donation is desired. Quite often they will have a show going on featuring either a theme or artist. There usually will be about 200 or more paintings being displayed between the two floors. There is usually parking available in the parking lot.... More

Parking lot here has sweeping views of the harbor. The massive building has morphed from earlier marine uses to an active artist center for displaying 2 floors of artworks-mostly oil and watercolor landscapes. All for sale as well as art workshops and books on the area art through different time periods. A flavors of what Cape Ann and its artist... More

We saw the current show, with over 175 pieces by members and two shows by individual artists. There are many excellent, creative artists with a broad range of interests and techniques. And, if you like a piece of art, you can buy it! As a bonus, you get a great view of downtown Gloucester across the inner harbor.

I've found interesting exhibits in a great space. There is actually plenty of parking although you may miss the entrance.

They also sponsor artist talks and other events. Some of the artists who exhibit here are notable and their works sell for many thousands of dollars. Plus the... More

What an unexpected pleasure! this small art museum packs a punch with outstanding art installations and represents local (and fine) artists. We live near here, but only just visited for the first time.

We visit every time we come to Cape Ann, and are never disappointed. Pretty setting, and beautifully presented local works of art - all for sale.
