Of course I had to visit The Crow's Nest while I was in Gloucester! This is a regular, neighborhood type bar and the kind I like. I'm sure the regulars get tired of the tourists but everyone was polite to us.

We stayed the night here mainly because we were going on a whale watching cruise early the next morning. The accommodation was clean, functional and cheap - nothing fancy. We had a good night's sleep. As other's have mentioned, It's an authentic working man's bar. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We didn't feel at all out of place.

This place is full of weathered face fisherman and locals, the bartender was very friendly and quite chatty in a nice way, she even showed us some photo albums that were full of pictures that were taken when the movie The Perfect Storm was being filmed there. The bar is situated in the middle of the room so everybody is... More

This is no nonsense working man's bar. The staff and the customers are welcoming and colorful. This is the bar from the Perfect Storm (not the one that they filmed). It is a piece of Americana that is best enjoyed with a pint.

We stayed in a room for the weekend to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and visited everything in Gloucester, its all really close distance for what we wanted to do and we brought another couple who also had a blast. We took the train, which isnt too far from The Crows Nest,... More

Stop here every time we visit Gloucester. Always a fun place with a great atmosphere. They make their mixed drinks LARGE and STRONG, but delightful. Nice Barmaids, good music on the jukebox, Keno, friendly patrons, and some colorful locals. You can always start a conversation, and find people from all over there. Just a comfy, casual, fun time.

Had to stop in here because of the movie the Perfect Storm, one of my all time favorite movies. It is for sure a 'Local's' Local bar and you can tell that everyone pretty much knows one another here, although I'm sure that they're used to the tourists coming in all the time and it doesn't seem to bother anyone....
