Nice loop trail for mountain bike or trail running.

I ride Callahan State park about twice a week on a mountain bike. The longest loop trail is about 4.5 miles with enough hills for a good 45 minute cardio interval work out. It is... read more

Callahan is a great spot to get outside for an hour with kids. Always a lot of dogs being walked which my 3 year old son loves. It's a great place to go for a casual walk or bike ride. If your looking for more challenging hikes or rides, I would recommend finding another place. For the winter, there are... More

This is a hidden gem. Perfect for an afternoon stroll in any season, An occasional pond, a place to sit, shady paths and never crowded. Walk alone, stroll with a friend or bring a dog to run.

Here's where summer and winter fun can be had! Plenty of trails to use! Swimming spot in Summer and fall for dogs. Parking lot gets crowded on weekends and though parking in street is option sometimes Police due ticket cars.

A great place for riding trails on a fat bike some single track through the woods, plenty of free parking.

I come here 1-3 times a week after work for runs and mountain bikes in the spring to fall. Great network of trails. Northern half of park is a little more technical, southern end is more flat and rolling and dog friendly.

This park has been overrun by dogs that are not on leashes. Early mornings before 8:30 it's relatively safe to go without a big dog jumping on you. Parts of Callahan in the woods are beautiful and the rest has been ruined by dogs. I know a few people who have been bitten by dogs.

We do a lot of five to ten miles countryside and woodland walks in the Uk so we really enjoyed exploring some of this woodland. We wore micro spikes a lot of the time, as the paths were solidly frozen and slippery in places. The lakes were solid too and we had a rare experience, for us, of playing on... More

I ride Callahan State park about twice a week on a mountain bike. The longest loop trail is about 4.5 miles with enough hills for a good 45 minute cardio interval work out. It is not too technical, with few roots and rock gardens to trip you up, but just enough to keep your attention. There are usually a few... More

I have been running and mountain biking at Callahan for over a decade. The trails are well-maintained, and the park is huge with endless trails to explore. The south side, south of Edmands Road, and the north side have a very different character. The south side is more family friendly, with well-groomed trails that aren't too steep, and lots of... This place is known as the "dog park" so I never went since I don't own a dog but my friends encouraged me to go with them and I'm glad we went. This is a great spot to bring your dog to run around in the open fields and hills, and to look at the pretty pond. There is also... More
