Wonderful small museum

Great museum that is not overwhelming or too large. Special exhibits are sometimes available. Relaxing.

This excellent local museum is moving to a new location in Framingham Center. The old location in downtown Framingham was in an old building that succumbed to a dying boiler and infrastructure woes. The new location is just off Rt 9, so more convenient to people who don't live in Framingham. Now more people will benefit from excellent programming and... More

I like to support small city art museums. This is one of several my 9-year old grandson & I visited this month. The last time I had been to the Danforth was around 1978 when I took an etching class! It was great to come back and visit. I like the variety of artworks. And grandson did the find &... More

Downtown Framingham is one of the most amazing downtowns in the area. One of the reasons is that it has a museum and art school there. Taking it out will further throw the area into the dump it's turning into. Very sad.

The Danforth has an open and comfortable layout. They change exhibits all the time, so it's worth going back regularly to see the new works. We visited on a Saturday when children were attending a birthday party - looks like a fun space to have a gathering like that! There is also a museum school that offers art classes. We... More

Interesting exhibitions in pleasant galleries. The Danforth offers a nice choice of a small museum in the Metrowest area. Their participation in the Museum Reciprocal program makes membership an excellent value.

No matter how often you go, their changing exhibits keep you coming back. This is an essential cultural piece of this community. It highlights the multiethnic flavor of our world.
