We visited in mid August. Our arrival in Falmouth a little later than I would have liked, but had no problem getting on the ferry. People did say the season was winding down and there were less people (August 22). Not knowing the area well,...More

This is the ferry you want to take to go from Falmouth to Martha's Vineyard. Only a half hour boat ride, very pleasant, snacks and drinks on board (alcoholic and kid-friendly). Met a friendly man and a grumpy man working the parking lot then a...More

We've travelled on the Island Queen to the Vineyard for a number of years and like the convenience of park then walk to the ferry, the moderate size of the ferry, and the shorter trip from Falmouth Harbor to Oak Bluffs. Drinks and snacks are...More

Large well kept vessel that was on time and traveled very smoothly across the sound to M.V. despite somewhat choppy waters. The cost at $20 seemed reasonable, but parking, a short walk away, was an additional $15. The manager at our motel suggested walking (about...More

Beautiful boat ride. Lots out outdoor and indoor seating. Be sure to buy tickets in advance and be at the boat a half an hour before hand as it fills up quickly.

Love the ride to Martha's Vineyard. Little on pricey side. No discount for seniors. Takes only cash. Had very rude man on the island ordering my kids around as they were trying to get in line. Had to intervene. Should have chewed him out but...More

Hello Bill, I was sorry to read of your child's experience with one of our crew members in Oak Bluffs. Managing several hundred passengers in Oak Bluffs can be a bit challenging at times, as the Island Queen does not own the property at which...More
