This is a state park that is located near the City of New Bedford. The bathhouse was clean and the beach is split in two. One side is guarded. Great spot to watch the boats coming and going out of New Bedford harbor. They is a nice children's playground.

This is an interesting old fort, though not much remains besides the cannons and the rocky hill the fort was situated on. The grounds are very nice, and provide a good place to picnic, relax, and look out over Buzzards Bay.

Beautiful area with a nice walk along the rocks, pier and beach. It's fun to watch the boats come in and take in the beatific views of Buzzards Bay. The rocks and cannons are a lot of fun to run around on...there's a beach, playground and bathrooms as well.

This is a great place to take the family just to see or bring food for a picnic. There is lots to see and explore for all ages. It is easily accessible by most. If you are in the area it is a must see.

Why is it that the City of Fairhaven cannot at least keep the beach portion of the park open during the day - there are no lifeguards on duty there most of the time anyway. In addition they close the rest rooms instead opting for the porta-potties which are the most disgusting assault on human dignity ever. Are things that... More

We went there yesterday for a Wedding. What a great location with the light house in the bay and the fishing trawlers coming in. Defiantly a destination if you love the Ocean.
