We went to Mayflower beach for sunset on our first night on the Cape and it was AMAZING! The tide was going out and we could walk very far out and still be ankle deep. The water, the sky, it was all beautiful and a great way to kick off our vacation!

Gorgeous beach with powder soft sand. Great place to watch the sunset. Lots of parking, snack bar, and bathrooms.

Arrived as tides were coming back in (~3:40 PM). Paid $20 to park—only a few spaces left. Beach was crowded, but generally people were adhering to 12 feet minimum distance. Nice sand. Tidal pools were near—water rose rapidly. We left for dinner at Sesuit Café, then returned for sunset (~7:20 PM). Even more crowded as people could come without paying for parking after 4:00 PM. Sunset was truly beautiful. Loved the applause as the sun finally dipped below the horizon.

Great beach. Most of the day is low tide so kids can walk far in ankle-knee high water. Going early, pre-8am during peak season helps. The $30 fee was fair. Good facilities and good food stall. Super organized during entry, you get a tag to put on your rearview mirror, lots of people giving directions clearly as to where to park. Short walk from parking past the dunes to get to the beach. Sand was soft, barely any rocks. Lots of periwinkle snails and little hermit crabs. Water was clear for northeast waters.

This beach is so beautiful! Sandbars, tidal pools, clear water, very light sand, and soft waves. This beach has something for everyone. Even my poor husband, who dislikes most beaches liked it. The water was chilly at first, but became comfortable quick. I know this is a popular beach, so we got here very early, as in before 8 am early. We'd read that it fills up very fast. I highly recommend this beach for all age levels.
