My wife and I visited ridgevale beach here in Chatham. It is a quiet family beach with gentle waves and wadding pools. The sand is expansive, the ocean view and breeze is wonderful and the parking is ample and well maintained.

We went to this beach later on in the day and had the whole place to ourselves. After walking around for a bit we discovered horseshoe crabs were hanging out on the shoreline. Apparently the conditions were perfect for them to work on making smaller...More

This is one of the nicer beaches on the south coast of Chatham. Has a nice snack bar where they also rent Sunfish and Hobie Cats. We rented the latter and had a great time on a cloudy, windy day!

Through the years the beach landscape has changed but it has a wonderful inlet for children to play in and explore the sea life. Kids will easily be kept occupied.

Wow, great beach for family...especially young kids. We had no problem with parking at 10:30am. Plenty to do including kayak and paddle board rental, snack bar, bathrooms, etc. Tidal pool is great for young kids - lots of wildlife to check out and shallow water....More

Ridgevale Beach is extremely popular due to the inlet or as better known "the creek" side. There is an inlet where the water is calm and the hermit crabs are plentiful. Children spend the entire day catching and releasing all kinds of sea creatures. Be...More
