Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There is a lot of nice flat sand here with good access. There is ample free parking across the street from it. However, this is in a touristy area that can be very congested.

Fabulous beach! We spent 30 minutes or so just taking a walk before heading to our next stop. Yes, there are warning signs for sharks but they do live there

We had a great time here in July.
You can't park at the top of the beach, parking is only for 30 minutes there.
We parked around the corner which was great value and they provided transport to the beach which was cool.
The beach was stunning, it was great seeing the Great White Shark signs. The sand was the best ever and the water was lovely.
It was great for kids.
Would highly recommend.

Ok there are a couple of issues: shark warning signs and rip currents…. That doesn’t stop me from coming back to this fabulous place. Enter the beach, make a right and keep walking and you’ll see what I mean: blue water and sand dunes with high and low tides that create shallow pools… it’s truly a magical place!

We've been coming to the Cape for 15 years. It never disappoints. This time we decided to try a new beach (Skaket, on the Bay side, is our go-to) so we tried Chatham Lighthouse Beach. Completely different experience! You're looking at the ocean, seals-maybe even sharks. This is the Powerful Part of the Cape for us. We'll be back!

We stayed at the Chatham Inn that was a short 5 min walk to the beach. I don't think there were more than 50 people on the beach and it was a picture perfect 80 degree day. If you want a quiet stretch of sand to read a book and enjoy the day...this is it.

Beautiful beach walking distance from our inn! Peaceful and uncrowded. Fun to watch the boats and some seals in the channel off the beach.

This was a wonderful beach for a long stroll or just sit and enjoy your day. Easy access and big enough that you wont see people if you walk far enough.

Clean water and sand with a lovely lighthouse. This beach is truly delightful and simply not to be missed when in Chatham.

It was a nice place to see the light house was great and the beach was really nice also. Didn't get to swim but nice to look at the water and walk on the beach in the sand.

There is a lot above the beach with parking for $20. There is a bathroom to use too.

Great question! There is 30 minute parking in the lot along the road at the beach. It is enforced, and during the summer often not available.
There is also a parking lot less than a mile away in Chatham center where parking is $5 and a shuttle will bring you to the beach.
Hope that helps!
