About
Edaville Family Theme Park has three worlds in one! Thomas Land, CranCentral, and Dino Land (Seasonal). Also known for hosting the amazing and historical Christmas Festival of Lights (Seasonal).Jon Delli Priscoli purchased Edaville and it's 250 acres in 2002. There have been many exciting changes under his ownership including, the reconfiguration of the entire rail course and the opening of the only Thomas Land in the United States. Additionally, Edaville Family Theme Park opened Dino Land a prehistoric learning adventure filled with life sized animatronic dinosaurs! Throughout the year you can find your favorite characters visiting the park for meet and greets! As October arrives Edaville Family Theme Park stays open late during not its so spooky Halloween celebration focusing on creating a fun and safe trick or treating environment for all children to enjoy . And of course during the holiday season Edaville opens for its world renowned Christmas Festival of Lights that has now grown to display over 7 million lights! Admission at Edaville includes access to all three parks, free parking and a lifetime for family memories.

Edaville remains a classic New England narrow gauge railroad & family themed amusement park among the cranberry bogs in the roads to Cape Cod. We were there during the 75th Anniversary Weekend, when the train loop and some of the displays were just opened. The 1/2 hour train ride is a must of railroad buffs. Kids will like all the amusement park rides. The best time to visit may be during the holidays, when an elaborate Christmas Village is set up.

We try to get to Edaville every Christmas for family fun.
The only down side was they were short on staff ( because of Covid) half the rides were closed, not their fault)

I didn't realize this place was still open. I enjoyed going here every year as a kid, with my kidsnow with my granddaughter. The highlight is the train ride. plenty of lights. Plenty of fun rides for the children.

Get ready to wait in long lines, drink lukewarm hot chocolate, and experience only half the park.
With only a few rides open due to Thomas Land being closed and three other rides broken, the lines were a good 30-40 minutes for each ride. Many of the workers that were there were rude to the kids especially the guy running the scrambler.
Even the train ride had its downfalls. The indoor train cars were Covid superspreaders with most people maskless sitting on top of each other as they stuffed them in there. We decided to sit in the cold outdoor cabins to get away from the piles of people. There were many decorations that were either broken or had fallen down on the ground.
We will not be going back to Edaville any time soon.

We took a 15, 13 and 10 yr old here and realized after 5 minutes that half the park was closed because they couldn't staff it, 2 rides had parts on back order and the ferris wheel broke down while we were in line. We told the manager and she said the other rides were available but the rest were toddler rides so we just basically rode the train (we stayed because we met family there) and then left. Not worth it for the money. Definitely for very young children.

Warning: do not pre-purchase tickets. You will only get to switch to Thursdays or the 4 days of Christmas break. Even if you want to pay more for a day, nope! And if you expect to be called back, nope! And if you ask for the 18th, they will lie to you and say it’s “sold out”!

Visited Edaville for the Christmas lights, train ride, and some rides. It was great to be back again. I give those that run this place so much credit for what they do. Rides are limited due to staffing issues, as those we see all over the country. Parts are delayed for broken rides due to shipping issues. But Edaville is plugging along and doing the best they can. This was still a great experience for us and our granddaughter (our 3rd time here in her 8 years). Went on some rides with limited wait time, played in the arcade, rode that great train. The Christmas songs and lights just made us feel happy.

We took our son twice in 2019. Of course we couldn't go in 2020 because they were closed with COVID. He is obsessed with Thomas and asks to go almost every day. We want to take him this year but unfortunately we have no idea if they are even going to reopen. Its really sad because the summer is passing by and we would love to go again. We miss it.

Edaville Theme Park has been there for a long time. It kind of went down the drain about 20 years ago, you know, old, not clean, the same old rides etc. However, it is now a first class theme park with train rides, museums, Old English Village, dinosaur park, good restaurant and much more. A great place to spend a summer day with your under 10 years or age kids. Try it you will be pleased.

This has been around since forever, in the last few years it has redesigned itself and is enjoying a lot of popularity. It is centered around a train ride through cranberry bog country on a narrow gauge train that originally came from Maine. It can get pretty crowded especially in the hot summer. Prices to get in are fairly nominal, food prices a bit high. But the park and rides are really nice, there is also a museum, a dinosaur forest, an olde English town and lots more. We took our 5 year old grand daughter there and she and us had a great time. A great place to spend a day with kids.

So I need to bring printed tickets or can they just scan b ones I downloaded?
We are planning a week long trip from CA to MA. My 4 year old is obsessed with trains and dinosaurs and I thought this would be really fun for him. Does the Edaville Family Theme park re-open on April 4th, 2020? Is it a good time to go? Which is the closest airport we can choose? Recommendations for hotels/Airbnb close to the theme park? What other attractions would be suitable for my 4 year old? What can be done in Boston with my son? How far would Maine be? Is it possible to go to Nigara falls in a week?

You can fly into Providence or Boston to reach Edaville in about an hour from either airport. 4 is a perfect age for Edaville, I recently took my 4 year old triplet grandchildren they had a wonderful time. The rides are perfect for that age, the Dinosaurs are fun( not scary) and the Thomas train ride is wonderful.
Check Groupon and Living Social as those sites often have discounts. Have fun
Can i bring in a cake and sit at picnic tables instead of doing a party room.

The Park Staff are very family-friendly and accommodating, just to be safe call the park prior to you're visit. We've backed pack small snacks with water and our "Dunkin Coffees" and never had a problem.
We’d like to stay in the area for a week. Would my 4 year old enjoy spending multiple days there in a row? And are there any close-by attractions you’d recommend?

We went several days and the kids are still talking about it. It was nice not to be in a rush to see everything in one day.
The first day we took our time getting familiar with the rides and attractions.
The second day we already knew what some favorites were but also found some things we hadn't noticed the day before.
The third day the kids took the lead by selecting the things we did.
It was a relaxing, no rush way to truly appreciate the time and effort that has gone into designing and operating this one of a kind amusement park.
Do you need to show paper tickets or can they be scanned on a phone at the entrance?

I'm so sorry. I don't know the answer to this question. I imagine a quick check of the website or a phone call can get you an accurate answer. Hope so. It's a lovely park. Merry Christmas!
Will a 16 and an 11 year old enjoy the park?

I don’t think so. It’s geared for younger children. Thomas the Train and the dinosaurs are popular with my younger grandchildren.

I will be flying in from Ga, I’m trying to figure out what will be the closet airport to fly into.
Either Logan International in Boston or T.F. Green in Providence RI. Both are about the distance. Though T.F. Green is a smaller airport
