Fabulous place for the views and to get a workout. Through the woods, along the river, on top of the boulders. Bring a picnic if you like and set up on top of a cliff. Really special.

The billy goat trail is wonderful! Definitely not a dog friendly trail seeing as you need to climb around rocks and down a fairly steep slightly difficult rock wall. But the views from this trail and the fun you have climbing and searching for the...More

This trail never disappoints. This has rocks to climb, places to chill out, great views, trees, and even ends near the Great Falls overlook. If you are in the area and want a great day outside getting exercise, this is the trail. Good for people...More

One of the coolest trail I've done. I've hiked this trail more than five times and it's always fun. Love finding the heart shaped rock.

Challenging trail - climbing over the rocks. But most is not difficult and the views are outstanding! Highly recommend. Go early - this trail gets crowded. The $10 fee is only payable via debit/credit.

It is about an hour and a half trail. Very beautiful scenery and well worth your time to go. But there a small steep rock climb a little risky has to be careful. Enjoy the trail

Billy Goat trail offers hikers deeply panoramic vistas overlooking the Potomac Tiver at various places that are simply stunning. There are a few rocky challenges here and there but nothing a basic to intermediate hiker can’t handle. Potomac is located in what is often called...More

I think it's OK to wear shorts...depends more on the weather. I wouldn't worry too much about the scrambling unless your legs are very sensitive.

Thanks everyone. We did it last weekend. The rock wall had my husband and I helping my son but other than that. We were good and we had a blast.

I think you need a car to get to both Dallas international airport and Ronald Reagan Airport . Both are around 25 mins drive
