This is a great place to visit. Signs to get you there are well placed. We had a full tour with a knowledgeable person who answered all our questions. The museum is well maintained and exhibits are informative. The on-site boat museum is wonderful. Families will enjoy the place. It's not overwhelming for children.

A nice stroll on Light House Road takes you to a pleasant ending. There is a beach to visit. Park benches for those to rest. Pinic tables for eating. A museum near by to visit. Nicely taken care of. Worth a visit.

Had planned a trip to Maryland's southern western shore as a get away for my wife and I to visit lighthouses and wineries. I had checked the lighthouses website and it said that it was open daily at 10 AM and the museum also. Arrived at 10:30 AM and walked the grounds and looked at the lighthouse but was disappointed... We really didn't tour the attractive lighthouse or museum due to time commitments, but we did walk the grounds and enjoy the fishing pier on site. The site is adjacent to the oil pipeline and storage tank complex so occasionally tankers are anchored at the dock while dumping off or loading on oil. We happened to see a tanker at... More

This was a great visit for the kids the morning before a wedding. They loved the pier, water and the lighthouse and park area. It is very clean, well kept and organized. A great way to spend a few hours

This is a small waterman's museum featuring the lighthouse and the lighthouse keepers house. There were several very interesting exhibits in the static museum, as well. You can climb to the top of the lighthouse but the steep stairs are not for the faint of heart or those leary of heights. A great view makes it worthwhile, though.

Pay the entrance fee to enjoy the small (but informative) museum and climb up the lighthouse. Do not miss their boat exhibit (separate building) which is excellent. Docents do a great job. Lovely park and pier offer charming water views. Interesting interpretation about a Nazi submarine will fascinate all ages. We spent about and hour here and enjoyed every minute!

I agonized (I really did, I take these reviews very seriously) over giving this attraction "only" a "3" -- this little place has much going for it. Basically you've got a stubby little lighthouse with a moderately interesting history, the keeper's house, a tiny visitor center, and a "maritime museum." Grounds, exhibits, and facilities, all beautifully maintained. Staff friendly and... More

Neat little lighthouse with much history. The quarters are not open for viewing but there is a great little marine museum on the property.
