Beautiful park, amazing rock formations, pretty waterfalls and streams. Great hike. Takes about 45 to 60 minutes. Lots of history here too. Henry Ford and Thomas Edison once camped here. If you go to Garrett County Maryland, this is a must-see stop.

There is an entrance fee. $10 per vehicle, if you are an out of state visitor, otherwise $5 for in state vehicle. They will give you a brochure and map upon entrance and request for free. There are restrooms in a little building, a food...More

Spent about 2 hours viewing the gorgeous waterfalls in this park. Hiking is either easy, if you stay on the designated gravel trails, or challenging if you choose to walk river side, with many rocks and hills. Teenage kids really enjoyed swimming under Muddy Creek...More

Three year ago this state park was devastated by hurricane Sandy. Thousands of fallen trees obstructed and damaged many trails. We visited 6 months later and many trees were still down. We just visited last week and are happy to say park looks the way...More

$3 for Maryland residents and $5 for non residents! Also, with the fee to Swallow Falls State Park, one can enter Herrington Manor State Park as well (2 for the price of 1) and it is only about less than 5 minutes away to... More

You can rent kayaks at Herrington manor, that park is 5 miles away from swallow falls. We asked last weekend and the cost was 8 for an hour.
