Super easy walk to the lighthouse. The views at the bluff were beautiful. Did not spend time in the actual park because it was a $5.00 day pass and we arrived late in the day..

This is a great place for a casual stroll. Once you get to the lighthouse you can sit and look over out into the bay and the sight is beautiful. My kids LOVE visiting the lighthouse!

I haven’t camped in Elk Neck State Park in over 25 yrs. My parents would bring me camping here when I was a kid. After a friend of mine gave me a tent I figured we’d come see how things changed. As far as I...More

Another incredible Maryland State Park - this one featuring a large trail system that features some of the most wonderful views of the Chesapeake Bay that are to be had. The trails here seem endless and go from one visual Gem to another. One may...More

Off of I-95, exit 100 (Route 272), this park is only 13 miles south of I-95 on Route 272. Get here early so you can park. Walk through the gate and just about a mile up the path, you will find the Turkey Point Light...More

I'm a biased reviewer by any measure since I am a volunteer docent there every third Sunday. Its a cool place where you can picnic or fly your kites and drones and there is supposed to be a geocache down there. The 1833 US flag...More

Elk Neck State Park is beautiful. To get to the lighthouse you have to walk a mile path which is okay for adults but not that fun for kids. There is nothing to do at the lighthouse but take pictures. North East beach and swimming...More

Rangers are uber friendly and helpful! The campground area is meticulously maintained. The trails by the campground are a series of very short hikes - maybe 0.2 miles each and they wind around the park. They have a nice little playground. I wanted to give...More

Great little hike to the lighthouse and back. The view when you arrive at the lighthouse is awesome! The Chesapeake Bay is below and you can see the 3 rivers that flow into it. Hair raising cliffs add to the thrill!

The Maryland leash law applies to this park. If you go online and Google dog parks or dog beaches in Maryland (or by county), you will find plenty of areas to take your dog(s) and let them run loose.
