There is a lot of history here. We really like this place, and learned a lot too. Great photo opportunities too.

We walked the Clara Barton trail which is a short walk outside the house providing some background information. It was fun for our young kids. Unfortunately the house itself has been closed for renovations since Oct 15 with little sign on the day of work...More

When we tried to visit last year, we found out that this house is only open during certain tours during the day, which wasn't made clear on the website. So when construction is finished, be sure to call ahead and ask for the tour times....More

Thought we'd stop by with teenagers to take a look and learn about Clara Barton, founder of US Red Cross. Very disappointing. No signage, shares parking lot with Rock Echo Park which is an eerily, retro half abandoned "artists park" with a carousel. Only Park...More

House is currently closed, will return when it is completed. Unique structure, pretty grounds and located next to Glen Echo Park.
