Very attentive tour guide who knew a great deal about the history of not only the home and family, but also of Wiscasset! Beautiful home and interesting family story. Greatly enjoyed our visit and will continue to tour the other Wiscasset museums!

This was our first Historic New England property to visit. It was a serendipitous finding, on an Autumn afternoon some years back. It inspired us to become members of Historic New England, and to include visiting their properties when vacationing in New England.

Had a guided tour of this house a while back by the lady occupying the house. Interesting décor, large rooms and nicely presented, even telling us about initials a young boy carved in wood on the 3rd floor.

We visited this historic house and heard the fascinating story of its chequered history from Roxane, our charming tour guide, who was a mine of information. The house was built by Nickels, a successful and wealthy ship's captain who owned a dozen ships, to demonstrate...More
