Gentle looping trails that were well marked and easy to follow. Beautiful views and well worth the drive. You could easily spend a few hours here if you wanted. $5 per adult is collected near the Visitors Center. Restrooms are available and clean.

A beautiful estuary and reserve located on a former farm now managed by a private foundation dedicated to conservation of natural resources and land. An area of several thousand acres that offers fantastic hiking opportunities of protected, undeveloped land along the southern Maine coast. A...More

I’ve been coming here for years with my husband and children. Many trails that take you to scenic overlooks. The beach trail takes you to a conservation area on the beach with little or no people around. So pristine. Just watching the terns, egrets, and...More

Just moved to the area and noticed the Laudholm reserve was having a night hike during the full moon. Am so glad we decided to go. The guide, Linda, was so engaging, sharing her extensive knowledge of the native Americans and their rituals regarding the...More

We had a delightful few hours guided by Suzanne that was very peaceful. We learned many interesting things about the estuaries as well as Laudholm Farm. After vacationing in/near Wells for more than twenty years, we enjoyed “discovering” this delightful gem.

Beautiful reserve. Doucets were fair that lead the walk. Still will try other events they have at the reserve. Trails are well maintained.

Thank you for contributing to our mission... and to the upkeep of this protected site! We always have some mosquitoes, but this summer was especially "good" for them. Glad your family braved the walk down and back, because Laudholm Beach is worth it!

Lovely trails to the ocean, with beautiful views. Bug spray is a MUST!! I read that in some reviews and was VERY happy we had some to keep the mosquitos at bay. The paths are wide and nicely groomed, so we didn't see any ticks....More

outside of loading up on bug spray you never see the same things twice on a trail, look for birds, deer, turkeys and more

Parking is sufficient for typical weekends, with about 70 spaces plus overflow parking along the edge of the entry road. Some weekends have weddings that might make it crowded and a few weekends each year have larger events... More
