a short hike, nice view

This is a quick hike, a little steep in a few places, that brings you to a lovely view. We enjoyed the walk on a breezy, summer day. There were no crowds. Parking was a little... read more

This used to be a family friendly great little hike. The Fire tower is even on the Waterboro Town Seal. That is in the past. The cellphone tower folks wrecked the road, the ATV traffic is pretty high many days. And the town can't find a way to cut back the trees and brush to allow a good view. Letting... More

Once you get to the top, there is a great view of the surrounding countryside of southern Maine - especially in the fall, with all the colors of the foliage. There is a fire tower that gets you even higher. A great individual or family hike and experience!

My friends, my husband and I drove most the way to the summit, but parked a good 20 minute walk from the top. We got out and walked the rest of the way up. You could probably drive further if you had a truck, but it's always good to get out and get some exercise. At the top there's a... More
