Ancient temple...history associated with Ramayana
Mar. 2019 • Friends
This is a very old and ancient temple of Balaji. Historically it is said that Lord Rama and Laxman had worshiped God at this place on their way to find Sita. The temple is currently under renovation but you can visit. It is the highest point of BR hills with a breathtaking view. Don't miss the sunset.

Super place but place lacks cleanliness. The new temple is under construction. The view is breathtaking and cold wind take u out to the new world . But there’s only one hotel over there , overrated. So pack your foods . Night walk between the coffee estate is a memory. Room stays are available too costly .

the temple was under renovation in Jan 2019 and it will take another 3-6 months for renovation to complete. So God's staues have been relocated in a smaller area while renovation is going on. lots of monkeys, we had to hurry through as they were fighting in groups while we were trying to enjoy the green beauty and click some pics..

A Divine Place - Best Place for the Nature Lovers
Dec. 2018 • Family
This Temple & Place being surrounded by lust green forest wherein devotees as well as Nature Lovers both of them can see God in this place & it is strongly believed here that Lord Ranganatha Swamy has fulfilled all the genuine prayers of the devotees. However right now, as this Temple is undergoing renovation, it may be appropriate to visit this Temple only after August 2019. Further the best period to visit this Temple/place is between August to February.

A Temple with a history
Nov. 2018 • Family
Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple is devoted to Lord Ranganatha located on the highest peak of the BR hill range surrounded by a dense forest and is the only temple in the country where Lord Ranganatha is depicted in a standing position. The surroundings are serene and is a pleasure to watch. It is also famous for its "Ratha Festival" every year in the month of April. There is a tradition wherein the local tribes present a large pair of slippers measuring 1-foot and 9 inches, made up of skin, to the Ranganathaswamy once in two years. Do carry some food items as there are not many options and beware of the monkeys.

small temple well connected by road in serene atmosphere mid jungle on top of a hill
May 2018
This is a small temple under renovation during 2018/2019 in BR hills about 33 kms south west of chamarajnagar or 33kms west of kollegala
its on top of a hill, about 17 kms of hill road, midst of thick BR hills with lot of wild animals including deer, bear, elephants. The winding roads are small, but well maintained and thrilling to drive.
There are no restaurants or eateries nearby.
Temple authorities provide simple lunch between 12 noon and 1pm
Its a simple temple with main diety of about 4ft standing lord vishnu/krishna called as ranga.
