We arrived at Southwest Cycle a few minutes before they opened, and they were so accommodating. We were on a tight schedule because we wanted to rent bikes to take with us to the Cranberry Islands. Southwest Cycle quickly suited us up with 4 bikes...More

While visiting Maine and riding in the Southwest area, my son in-law noticed some play in the crank. We were passing the bike shop and decided to see what the issue was. The bike was immediately put on a bike stand, bottom bracket removed and...More

The guys have a wonderful sense of humor, take their time fitting you to the bike, allow cycle returns "when you're done having fun," and are very reasonably priced.

We rented two adult bikes, two young children's bikes that were tagsalongs and a car rack. From start to finish the people at the shop were helpful. The cost was much cheaper compared to Bar Harbor. Would return in an instant!

If you're not staying in Bar Harbor proper, Southwest Cycle might be a better location to rent your bikes. They treated us well and the bikes were in great shape!
