Beautiful gardens a tribute to a fellow gardener.

Free to walk the grounds at your own pace. Lots to see and many plants on sale too. A nice little gift shop to visit makes an interesting stop.

Sadly something has gone wrong with this organization. The gardens are in terrible shape with more weeds than flowers. The volunteer gardener told us they had lost their executive director. We go long distances to see gardens and these were in worse shape than any we have visited in years. A real waste of time for the visit.

What a treat to visit. There are hundreds of lilacs currently in bloom as well as woodland plants in bloom, plants to purchas and a gift shop with something for everyone. Take an hour to walk through the gardens and enjoy.

This is a charming informal garden with paths weaving through richly planted, generally shaded beds. There are lawns too and a great collection of lilacs which must be great in their season. For local gardeners this acts as a valuable site from which to learn about suitable garden material. Garden team well informed and enthusiastic too.

McLaughlin Garden is one of those few special places on Earth that once you visit, you can't help but return to again and again. Over the last several years I've been happy to experience the growth in size and diversity of the garden. The paths through the garden are lined with of course, their hallmark , dozens and dozens of... More

Free admission to a tranquil garden. Come spend a few hours or the day! Don't miss the Lilac Festival last weekend in May! A continually changing flower bloom over the spring and summer. Neat gift shop. Also plants available for sale. Lots of garden related education classes in the historic barn.

This garden is very special...not big and showy...a small intimate garden for a quiet, lovely experience. The successive bloom is amazing, starting with early wild flowers, then later ones plus bulbs of all sorts, then the lilacs and flowering trees, then the over story trees providing summer shade. The garden is beautiful in all seasons. I have purchased plants and... More

They had every variety of lilac bush that there must be known to mankind. The gardens were beautiful and I found many places to just sit and relax while traversing the flowers.

At this time of year most of the plants had flowered but it was obvious the beauty available in season. Bees were busy with the phlox and were entertaining watching their activity. What an amazing place to visit. The age of the barn. The size of the trees. Awesome

These gardens were lovely even in the rain! They were having a plant sale which was outstanding---many varieties that one does not usually see unless it is in a catalog. we were sorry to have issed the lilacs.
