Came here for the first time too see the Kentucky Derby, from 2pm until the derby started we enjoyed simulcast and live races. Won a bit of money and will go again very soon.. Wish the tvs were larger in certain parts of the downs, but we could see everything.

Went here for the buffet during the 2016 Kentucky Derby. The derby was going off at around 6PM, got to the track at 4:30. The buffet was already picked over pretty hard, so we skipped it. Took 30 minutes to get a waitress' attention for drinks. Extremely understaffed in all areas. Missed 2 races because they only had 2 sales... More

We stopped by while on vacation in Maine. Stopped by after having dinner. It was on the weekend. It is an older track. We stayed for about 6 races, would have stayed longer, but the fog was rolling in and getting pretty thick, so we left to get back to the hotel. If you like harness or horse racing, should... More

Good race track. Very large clubhouse and outdoor areas. Never too crowded. Too bad more people don't enjoy harness racing. There is also broadcast of races from other tracks. I great for a relaxing day at the track.

If you want to have a good time with friends while you're visiting Scarborough ME and its area you must go to the Downs. You'll have a great time with friends and the people on staff are very welcoming and will guide you with the schedules and everything and you will be able to dine there also,

Well, Scarborough Downs is racing again! Nice to be back. This track in its 65th season is a little Jewel in Southern Maine. Free to get in, a program for $1.75 and off you go to the races. Food is inexpensive and good and great views of the racing can be enjoyed by all. Truly country racing in a great... More

I would rate the grounds/stands as poor and the quality of the horses and races as very good. The stands and building are in need of repairs and updating. A lot of space not being used. I had heard the owner does not want to put any money into the track and it shows.

I just recently went to Scarborough Downs with my wife and sun right before the local fairs starting racing. While it is true that the facility is old and dated, we had a great time. A bright sunny day full of Maine State Bred Stakes races. A small crowd. Maybe 500 people on a beautiful sunny Maine day. Watching the... More

It costs nothing to get in. Live harness racing on week-ends Inexpensive fast food, although I understand there is also a full service restaurant. We went on a Saturday night and racing started at 4:30 and was over by 8:00 PM Lots of benches by the track and an enclosed grandstand in case of bad weather, I love horses so... More
