Great location. Fantastic sand. Clean. Nice view from shore. If only dogs were allowed anytime (we were there Labor Day weekend), it would be ideal!

Pine Point Beach is a gem in Scarborough ME! Parking is $15 close to the beach. Clean, open and a beautiful setting.

Pine Point Beach is absolutely beautiful. They keep the beach very clean. Everyone is so friendly. I can’t wait to go back.

The beach itself was nice, though much was lost at high tide. The walking along was fine. Showers were convenient and helpful. The slope kept swimming for my children safe.... BUT the red seaweed was disgusting and a huge deterrent for me to go there...More

Kid friendly beach. Lots of awesome views. Easy access to it. Quiet. The beach is very clean. We will definitely come back.

Plenty of sand at high tide. Once you pay 10 to park the bathrooms are free and there’s a foot rinsing stand. Like any beach facilities the bathrooms are pretty scary by afternoon but it beats the alternative of no bathrooms.

Pine Point Beach is fabulous. It is not overcrowded and it is easy to get to. There may be a little bit of seaweed once you get past your knees the water is clear and warm

This beach is idea for small children. There is no sharp drop off and the children can walk out quite a ways. The waves are gentle with no undertow. Beautiful wide beach, idea for a early morning walk.

A typical New England beach has great tides, difficult parking, waves, a variety of sea life and water that is at a temperature that will certainly cool you off., and Pine Point Beach is no exception. It is a lovely place to spend a day...More

I would agree abnormally high water temperatures help algae. Did you ask anyone there? Perhaps a change of tide will help. Try Old Orchard, or go north.
