Breathtaking hiking trails and amazing views!! If you have your own boat you can ride across and tie your boat up and hike for the day or you can go to Kineo dock and ride the ferry.

We adventured over as part of our visit to Misty Morning Cottages; about a mile walk across the ice. The views are spectacular and it is a great spot for enjoying nature. Our pups loved it too! We will definitely go back!

Best view in the state on top of firetower via Indian Trail. Ferry ride over from Rockwood boat launch and pack a lunch. Bring a swimsuit....

Rented motor boat and cruised the lake and fished. Got very rough on lake in afternoon, so had to come back early. Great day anyway!

My husband and I don't do much hiking anymore so this was quite a workout for us. But we took our time and made it to the summit. This was worth it all. The views are awesome.Worth every huff and puff

I believe it is first come first serve. never heard of a bear bothering anyone on Kinross. you would be very lucky to catch a glimpse of one.

Yes, there was a dog on our ferry ride. The Moosehead Lake Golf website gives more info as well... "Are we allowed to bring dogs? Yes, dogs are allowed on the shuttle, but are not aloud [sic] on the golf course. If you are... More
