I visited this museum many years ago when it was run by a retired coast guardsman ( Ken Black) the contributor of much of this memorabilia. This museum is much improved. Great visit.

this was an amazing step back into mariner history on the east coast-it was right across the street from our hotel. friendly staff and an awesome gift shop attached

They have lots of fresnel lenses from actually lighthouses, and that was cool to see them up close. They have a really nice exhibit on female lighthouse keepers and the history of the lighthouse boats was neat also. Worth a visit. Admission price isn't that...More

The displays of lighthouses and lifesaving back in the day are great. There is a very detailed display of models and the harbor. I build wooden sailing ship models and could not stop looking at how detailed the display was. The staff is extremely helpful...More

Really nice museum with a lot of exhibits. Gives you a really feel for the importance and history of lighthouses. Lighthouse keepers were amazing, dedicated people!

I don’t know, seemed rather small and didn’t appear interesting from the desk for the price. They won’t provide any military discounts either. $8 Just didn’t seem worth it. The museum is colocated with the Chamber of Commerce and they have a plethora of information...More
