Had no idea what to expect from the Coastal Children's Museum, but our grandson thoroughly enjoyed the many rooms and activities. He started with the ship climbing structure, and loved pulling up the pulley full of fish, then sliding down the pole. The store held...More

This was not what I expected of a museum ( being English). Staffed by enthusiastic volunteers this venue offers loads of different play/experience areas for children up to 12 to interact with. With other families around children learn to relate with piers and have a...More

MY grandchildren just love this lovely, creative nook in the world. So many fun activities, ever changing craft activities, fish tank, musical instruments, and the ever favorite... the kitchen/grocery store. If my kids lived closer I would have a membership for sure.

My three year old girl has been to this great little gem on the south side of Rockland. Lots of interactive stuff for children in the preschool age. This place rivals the Portland children's museum as far as local exhibits. The puzzles are fun for...More

The museum was a nice find on a rainy day. Although modest in size, our 2 and 4 year old grandchildren found plenty to do for a couple of hours, and the staff was both friendly and helpful. Older children will have trouble finding things...More

We keep coming back to the Coastal Children's Museum year after year, and are always delighted by it. Our kids - who range from 9 to 1 - can easily and happily kill a couple of hours there, making it a nice break from some...More
