Used to be the winding trial of the local town drunks among the old sardine warehouses. Those are now gone and the rocky dirt trail replaced by a boardwalk. Decent view of Rockland Harbor and especially scenic entertainment for tourists.

With so much to see and do in New England, when researching, this walk seemed interesting. It wasn't. Great for the locals to have somewhere to walk but for tourists wanting to see the best an area has to offer, don't bother. Back to the...More

Beautiful spot to enjoy the sunshine - beautiful boats bobbing in the water - it's just sensory overload. Another one of our must-visits when we come to Rockland.

There are always things of interest along the harbor trail. The trail is flat and hugs the shore. Much of it is along a boardwalk. It would be great if the town would continue to expand the route. Unlike other boardwalks and trails, there are...More

We went to the chamber of commerce in the Maine lighthouse museum to get information. The woman there was friendly and helpful. I asked about the trail and she gave us a walking map and pointed to spots out the window. It appears the best...More

Not advisable. Our area doesn't have great bike paths/routes. I suppose you could bike it, but be very careful.
