Spent part of the morning visiting this museum and found it full of the history of the Rangeley area. One of the volunteers was very knowledgeable about the area and I enjoyed listening to him tell of the life of the lumbermen and women and how the trade developed and finally is disappearing in Maine. Nice trails out back along... More

The museum continues to improve every year! It's a beautiful facility, with interesting exhibits, artwork, and even logging related toys for the kids; something to appeal to all ages. A must see if you are visiting the Rangeley area!

Rangeley has such a rich logging history, this museum is not to be missed. It is easy to access and to park. The displays are so interesting - you'll want to spend all day reading letters loggers sent back home.

If you are in the Rangeley area visiting during the Logging Festival and Parade, then you are in for a treat...especially if you are from the City. It's like nothing I've ever see before. There are all kinds of competitions and the museum offers a decent historical education for those who are interested.

We have visited this small museum several times and enjoyed it earch time. The museum has recently changed its name to the Maine Forestry Museum. The Logging Festival, an annual event the third weekend in July is really a lot of fun. Not something that you can do many places !!

If you want to understand Mainers, you need to take in this museum. Plan 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. There is a DVD to see and lots to look at.

We visited the Logging Museum the last time we were in Rangeley. It is very interesting and informative. They continuing to add new exhibits every year. Some of the people involved in operating the museum are volunteers and their interest and care of the museum really shows.
