On our way to Bar Harbor stopped by - just off Rt 1- at the narrows and discovered this Gem of early American defense ... such a huge undertaking at any toe, certainly when it was built with our modern equipment ...

To walk through this place is like stepping back in time and you can almost feel how hard it was back then. It has a lot of passages you can explore. Make sure you have a flashlight or your cell phone because it is very...More

We really enjoyed Fort Knox! Impressive to see even though the fort was never used for defense. The Fort was decorated for Halloween as they had a Fright Night in the evenings.

If you're visiting the Penobscot Narrows Bridge tower, you get to visit Fort Knox, as well. My grandson would have loved it. It's easy to get around and information is easy to find.

Nice history next to the bridge. Kind of a two for one ticket. Wander around for and hour or two and take in the history of the area and the times.

Hi, if you are on a tight schedule you can do both in no more than an hour. And of course, if you want to read all the panels at the museum or shop at the museum store, you'll need a little extra. Good luck and have fun

sorry to say I don't remember but I think it was more like $15 but you had the observatory and the battle scene at fort knox with a lot of walking around and the fort to see along with them shooting off cannon balls
