Awesome small venue with great volunteers. It has a no frills but cozy atmosphere and showcases a fantastic array of talent. If I lived closer, I would buy tickets to every show! We went to see a band called FUNKATIONLAND on March 1st, they were so much fun with outstanding vocalists and lively talented musicians.

Stopped in on a whim and we really enjoyed this venue! The space is quite small and there's probably not a bad seat in the house. The balcony is highly recommended for a completely unobstructed view. Craft beers on tap in the lobby. And, One Longfellow Square is a non-profit, so you are supporting a mission-focused organization and having a wonderful evening out at the very same time.

Very sweet to attend a concert in this space. It was intimate and the sound was good. The staff was super pleasant and the small bar in the front had an interesting selection of craft beer and other beverages.

There are few small music venues still around that deliver performances of this caliber. I believe the place only holds about 220 people; the balcony has only three rows. In this intimate setting you have the possibility of seeing anyone from excellent local performers to seasoned pros like Martin Barre (Guitar player for Jethro Tull) and his band - they played there for two consecutive nights in 2018. The atmosphere is incredible and it appears that the pros appreciate the intimate setting and appreciative crowds.

One Longfellow Square seats about 200 and has a very active schedule with lots of touring artists, emphasizing folk music but with very good representation from other genres including, soul, R&B, jazz and indie pop. Acoustics are very good and the audience sits very close to the performers.

Pro Tip 1: Open seating, so get there early;
Pro Tip 2: They don't issue tickets, they have you name on the attendee list; and
Pro Tip 3: Consider sitting in the balcony.

When I travel, I love to check out live music and live music venues. Located in a gorgeous old historical building in the heart of downtown Portland one could easily drive by One Longfellow Square and not realize the hidden gem housed inside. A Charitable Organization with volunteers bring live music performances to a no frills intimate venue. Folding chairs lined up in front of the stage and some balcony seating is also available that offer a place for perhaps 100 people. It seems to me this there is not a bad view from any seat in the house. We went to see Jonathan Edwards, Garland Jeffreys and Marshall Crenshaw's sing"s "In the Round" show. A very cool and fun format and you felt as if they were playing in your living room. For those who wish, there is a bar with drinks and snacks available for purchase. A host of shows, very reasonable prices....check it out!

We bought tickets to see a monthly jazz concert at One Longfellow. I think for both tickets I paid $10. I had no idea what it was or what the venue was, but figured it might be a nice thing to do on vacation.

The venue is very small - think 100 people would make it cramped. It has a small floor space and a smaller balcony. The stage is basic, but sizeable. There's a small bar that's quite affordable with some light snacks.

But you get an intimacy that you can't beat. And looking at some of the artists they have coming in - it's crazy to believe that for just a few bucks you can see some of these artists in a small space. I kept telling my wife how much I wished a place like this existed in our area.

The saddest part was that for such a great experience, I counted 12 people in attendance. And six musicians. Can't believe this place doesn't get more support. It is run by volunteers and you can tell they put a lot of love into it.

If you're in Portland and looking for something to do, definitely check out who is playing here and go!

Here's an intimate venue to enjoy to quality performance with like minded aficionados for cheap money. We enjoyed the superb talents of Loren and Mark, two guitarists who blew the doors off the place. These guys not only played, they entertained all night. Go find this place next time you're in town.

One Longfellow Square is a great small music venue. Seats are all unobstructed. There is a small balcony but it was not open at the event we attended. Staff was very friendly and there is a cash bar. We like small venues and would certainly go to One Longfellow Square in the future.

We were impressed with this little music hall in Portland! The people working the venue were nice and friendly and there was a casual air that made you feel very comfortable. We came to town to see the Stray Birds perform and the acoustics were good and the seating was comfortable. There are a few restaurants around the Square which is nice for people wanting to meet for dinner and see a show.
