We took the ferry to Peaks Island for a few hours of exploring. The ride was great and it was nice to just sit and relax and watch everything go by. The ferry runs on time and the crew is very efficient at getting everything...More

We took the mailboat to Chebeague, walked the island and returned on the next ferry. Tour across the bay was well narrated, pointing out each island, local points of interest and facts about the bay. Boat was full but in September we did not have...More

Peaks Island is only a 20 minute ferry ride from Portland. It's a small island. You can rent a golf cart or a bike to explore it. We chose to do Island Tours. Our tour guide (John?) drove around 8 customers around the island on...More

I had to take my truck out to Peaks Island for a wedding. Casco Bay Lines do an excellent job of parking the vehicles. Also, they make sure pedestrians are loaded and unloaded safely. Wonderful views and a smooth ride.

Loved jumping on the ferry to Peaks Island, having dinner at the Cockeyed Gull and then catching the ferry back to downtown Portland. Lovely trip - only a bar on board would have enhanced the experience.

This is one of the ferry companies in Portland. It is a must do. We took it over to one of the islands so much fun.

We took two Casco Bay ferries - the mail boat and the Peak's Island ferry - and I would recommend both, but particularly Peak's Island. The Casco Bay mail boat is a great way to see the bay, but you don't really get a chance...More

So much fun to take a ferry ride for 20 minutes, rent a golf cart, go around the island, and then have an amazing lunch at the Peaks Island Inn. Totally recommend this excursion!

There are several hospitals in the area, all of them within 3 miles of the Casco Bay Lines. From I-295 take exit 7 - Franklyn St all the way to the end. There is a parking garage right next to the ferry.

Dogs are welcome as long as they are well behaved and leashed. Expect a reasonable surcharge.

Is it kid friendly? We have a 2 year old and are wondering if this would be a good activity. Thanks
