I'm from Texas and saw the Maine Craft Distillers and decided to check them out while visiting Maine and in Portland for the day. Nice spot with very nice people working there. I tried and then bought a bottle of the Ration Expedition style rum....More
This was a refreshing stop! The owner took the time to talk to me and show me around. I really appreciate the fact that he sources everything from Maine, and that he is a true Grain to Glass Craft Distiller, doing it from scratch. Definitely...More
I didn't care for the distillery alcohol as I felt for some reason it all had the taste of Tequila. I'm NOT a connoisseur however and I do have to say that I loved the space. A jazz band was playing when we were there,...More
I just wanted you to share my love for this place. The decor is funky and well done , that long bar is tte center piece of the distillery, along with communal and individual table. You can taste all the booze they produce in small...More
A couple friends and I visited the distillery (new location?) a couple of weeks ago, and it is a chic-rustic atmosphere with tasty cocktails! You really can't go wrong with anything having to do with Blueshine (if blueberries are your thing), and like another reviewer...More

We are fans! Great craft distillery where you can sample the wares for free. However, it is unlikely you will walk away without a bottle or two! The Sprigge Gin which is aged in Bourbon barrels some our particular favourite.
Very knowledgeable and helpful staff...More
It was the stills summer block party with food trucks and band playing. Super cool set up. This is definitely your typical craft distillery with the equipment in part of the building that used to be a garage of sorts, but the front is renovated...More
Great local distillery with friendly staff and interesting spirits. The Portland location has actually moved to a larger space (123 Washington Ave) but my husband and I prefer the Freeland Public House over the Portland spot. Both places offer free tastings of all their products...More
While I didn't necessarily go to the location in Portland, I did do to the smaller location in Freeport, and it was a lot of fun! Good cocktails, exceptional tasters, and a good "hidden" atmosphere. Our bartender (Genevieve) was a lot of fun too!
