This is an excellent spot in Portland! Beautiful view, and some good history in this area. Definitely worth spending some time at - this is a great place to see the sunset/sunrise.

Lots of fun and quite different than the usual Old Port experience. The line for drinks is a bit much but you can order two and I'd advise that!

This is a place where real people WORK - fishing, lobstering, shipping, retail and food services, both wholesale and retail. It is an odd blend of attractive and gritty.

Our first opportunity to explore Portland was when my grandson went to college there. What a beautiful, relaxed area. The scenery is outstanding. Bring your camera.

A very scenic bay with beautiful boats and sunsets. Take a boat tour if time allows. It is interesting the way fog will blanket this bay. Makes for an eerie boat ride.

One of the highlights of our entire trip was a cruise that we took on Casco Bay. Absolutely beautiful.

it appears tickets are to specific islands. is there a day pass to hop on and off at different islands? Is that what travelers are referring to as the "mail run" trip? what is the fee? thank you.

What is the best cruise, boat ride (day trip) to take and do they run the last week of March. Also, what kind of weather can we expect on average the last week of March?

if you're interested in Maritime history, Portland Harbor Museum is a small charming spot to visit. Check out Schooner Fare's Portland Town on youtube for local music.
