Erica walked a group of people around the West End and we all followed anxious to test the next wine. Erica is very knowledgeable about wines of the world. We visited 4 local restaurants, sampled different wines and had a sample of the restaurants food. Excellent way for those not familiar w/the area to visit local restaurants. I have never... More

Great time on our Wines of Spain walk. Erica is very knowledgeable in all things wine. We did four different and unique stops. Each stop was paired with food and wine. Brought my mom and she is gluten free and Erica was able to accommodate her dietary needs. Looks forward to doing another Wine Walk soon!!

My husband and I did the Italian wine walk on a Saturday last month. It helped that the weather was perfect. We started at a designated restaurant and had food and wine at a total of four Italian restaurants. The food was excellent at each stop. The wine pairings were great. Erica was very knowledgeable of the wines, though a... More

Our first time in Portland and we knew we wanted to book a fun tour to see the bay and also taste some wine! We took the Sunset Sail and and French Bordeaux wine tasting. From the minute we stepped on the boat Erica had a laughing and we knew it was going to be a good night! We started... More

We have attended a variety of Erica Archer's events: wine walks, wine sails, whiskey walks - they are all great, high quality food and drink, learn a lot about wines and how to maximally enjoy them, and Erica is quite serious about her vocation but doesn't take things overly seriously. We are new to the area, and these events have... More

As locals, we are always on the look out for new and interesting things to do with visiting guests and were delighted to discover the Wine Wise Sail. We enjoyed sampling the Pinot Noir and it was a perfect night for sailing...our guest was impressed with the entire experience. The good news is that we can go again and again... More

We took visitors from New Zealand out on the Francis for a wonderful evening sail on Casco Bay and a great wine tasting experience. Erica's expertise on wine is impressive! She gave us tons of information with style, poise, humor and enthusiasm. We enjoyed being able to move about a little instead of sitting in rows of seats like you'd... More

If you're in the Portland area - I highly recommend booking a Wine Wise event. We did the Sunset Sail and it was a perfect evening on the water - enjoying great wines, amazing views and fun company. Erica is amazing - she is so knowledgeable and does a wonderful job of helping to educate, while still having fun! I... More

The event is well run and Erica has her heart and soul in wine. Her descriptions of the wine are amazing and we enjoyed the evening. The boat is classic. Some things to consider: Be prepared to stand up for much if not all of the 2 hour cruise. Seating is limited and people have to get to the cheese... More

Went for the Fourth of July "interesting whites" and oyster pairing. All of the oysters were out of this world. As was the cheese tray (including fruits, crackers, nuts, etc) that was put together. The whites were definitely interesting, and while I didn't love all of them, the point of a tasting is to try new things! The staff of... More
