We visited on a lark and were totally in love with this museum. Its size was not overwhelming but did have enough to keep one interested. Would love to go again.

They have many of Winslow Homers paintings along with some very nice Bellows, Wyeth, Monet and many other great artists. Some of these are more obscure pieces of the artists work but very beautiful and interesting.

I love this place! The collection is quite good and quite varied, but I have found the special exhibits to be interesting and well curated. The audio accompaniments are well done. I make it a point to stop by every time I visit Portland.
