Enjoyed the story of the birth of Poland Springs water. Interesting to see the VIPs that had visited the area in its hayday. The Maine "statehouse" from a Worlds Fair is here with interesting history displays - across the road is a beautiful chapel -...More

Beautiful buildings that have large windows to peek thru. We were lucky enough to arrive when buildings were open. Very informative displays and photos of famous visitors. Can be toured quickly, but certainly worth a visit!

Even though it was off season while we were there the Preservation Park was open to be viewed. The buildings of course were not opened until Memorial Day.

It was cool to see the original source of Poland Springs water. This is located on the grounds of the Poland Springs Resort

We stayed at the Wolf Cove Inn and took a ride to Poland Spring Preservation Park. The grounds were beautiful, however, nothing was open. We looked in the window of the Source. We took a walk on the Maple Trail. It was just long enough.

I think folks don't realize this is here, because it sits behind the Poland Spring Resort buildings. There are nice hiking trails, and great displays inside the original and beautifully restored Poland Spring building (where the original spring still bubbles, although you can't drink out...More
