Just a nice way to spend the afternoon. No worries about getting lost. No Hills to climb. Just a nice walk with a friend

Go here. Get your state parks pass and do yourself a favor and go here to cool off. It can get busy on the weekends but there is tons of sandy beach and gradual entry for the kids. ALSO, they have a fantastic ramp with a water wheelchair which is accessible for those with physical limitations!

Beautiful place to hike and swim. At less popular times of day or day is the week it's a really nice place where you can access nature without having to be an athlete. It was crowded on the holiday.

Glorious distraction on a hot summer day. Water was nice temperature and when I swam out a bit farther a loon appeared right next to me! Good facilities, shady spots for picnics, lots of families with little kids. Super packed the day I went!

The ranger has problems with town folks. We buy a seasons pass every year for all Maine State Parks, but for some reason the ranger still loves to harass us.

This place is a gem amongst many beautiful parks in Maine. The pond is (I think) part of a large lake, but this area is a secluded cove. The beach is sandy and then rises up to grass and shade from the trees. Many people bring BBQ picnics. There is a nice changing room. The lake has a sandy bottom.... More

This park makes for a great day trip, but by half way through the summer the water doesn't feel or look clean anymore. There are just too many bodies in too warm water. The playground is fun for the kids and the beach is a great place for even the smallest children, the water is calm, warm, and shallow. It... More

We really enjoyed a day trip to this great state park. There is a lengthy beach with wheelchair accessibility. There is a playground. The beach is sandy and the water was very nice -- not terribly cold. There are restrooms and changing rooms. We went on a weekday and there were quite a few people, including large groups of day... There is a very nice child area playground. The sandy beach is clean. The water is good to swim in starting around May, some Mainers say it is too warm, but I prefer that to the ice cold ocean. There is a nice ice cream place in Poland nearby. 2 large bathroom/changing areas.
